About Us

The Mountain Winds is a chamber ensemble of five wind players. Formed in 1991 each player is a classically trained musician with many years of professional performance experience.

The Mountain Winds perform an eclectic repertoire of music and can choose a program perfectly suited for any occasion or audience. Whatever the event, the Mountain Winds will make it memorable. We have performed extensively for weddings, parties, art galleries and a variety of other special events as well as formal recitals, chamber music concerts and church services.

The quintet’s wedding selections are especially lovely and will add a touch of elegance to your special day. Favorites include “Trumpet Voluntary” and Pachebel’s “Canon” or “Ode to Joy.” While the majority of the music that the quintet performs is classical in nature, we also have a wonderful selection of lighter music with selections by Gershwin, Show tunes and even “The Pink Panther” by Mancini. Our classical selections cover genres from baroque to 21st century compositions.
